Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Recru app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Mia Carrillo (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".Information Collection and UseThe Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
The operating system you use on your mobile device
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device. The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data.For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide personally identifiable information including but not limited to email address, name, school, graduation year, profile photo, bio, interests, and Instagram handle. The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.Third Party AccessThe Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data:Google Firebase — authentication and database
Cloudinary — image storage
Expo — app infrastructure
The Service Provider may disclose information as required by law, to protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.User-Generated ContentThe Application allows users to post profile photos, FitCheck outfit photos, and anonymous Q&A questions. Users can report objectionable content or abusive profiles using the report button on any profile or post. Users can block other users, which immediately removes them from their feed. All reports are reviewed by the developer within 24 hours and violating content and accounts will be removed.Opt-Out RightsYou can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application using the standard uninstall processes on your mobile device.Data Retention PolicyThe Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application. You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app via Profile → Delete Account, or by contacting [email protected].ChildrenThe Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, contact [email protected] immediately.SecurityThe Service Provider provides electronic and procedural safeguards to protect information. Account data is stored in Google Firebase using industry-standard encryption. Images are stored on Cloudinary's secure CDN.ChangesThis Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify users of significant changes via in-app notification. Becoming a recruitment guide, I saw so many girls struggling silently with similar issues.I designed Recru to gives Potential New Members the clarity, structure, and emotional support I wish I had.
